Presidential race is between Grace Poe and Rody Duterte, says Poe’s camp.
The camp of senator Grace Poe said that the election will be a two-way race with PBP-Laban standard-bearer Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte after recent surveys showed the two presidential candidates leading the results.
Cebu Representative and Grace Poe’s spokesman Ace Durano said that the election will be a close battle between their bet and Davao City mayor.
“So looking at our surveys, it’s going to be us and Digong. Si Digong kasi is coming from a lower base, yung trajectory niya mas mataas talaga sa atin. Kasi we were already at 30 eh,” GMA News Online quoted him saying.
In a mobile survey conducted by Social Weather Stations commissioned by TV5, Poe and Duterte statistically tied with 34 percent and 31 percent, respectively. It was followed by Vice President Jejomar Binay, Liberal Party bet Mar Roxas and Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.
The latest Pulse Asia Survey in partnership with ABS-CBN showed Poe as the leading presidential candidate with 28 percent, while Duterte and Binay placed second after they statistically tied with 24 and 23 percent, respectively.
Ace Durano admitted that Duterte’s popularity has been increasing, noting that Poe’s remained to be the leading candidate because her steady rise and consistency in topping the pre-election surveys.
“Yung momentum natin pataas pa rin pero yung momentum ni Digong (Duterte’s nickname), is parang tempering also yung trajectory natin. So yung mga sinasabi nila na it’s really between Sen. Grace and Digong, I agree with that. I think it will come down to that,” he further said.
The national and local elections is schedule on May 9, 2016 and will be hosted by Barangay elementary schools nationwide.
One doesnt have to sacrifice his/her morals just to fix the country. Poe can solve the country’s problems without using illegal means.
Her platform can help the country be better. I hope it’s her instead of Duterte
