After the “supporters” of Liberal Party bet Mar Roxas released the controversial comics entitled “Sa Gitna Ng Unos,” the candidate received criticisms, including from singer-actress Liza Diño-Seguerra who slammed him for credit-grabbing. The multi-awarded actress expressed her thoughts through her official Facebook Page.

Liza Diño criticized the presidential candidate for taking credit and flaunting “heroism” in the comical book which was published and distributed in several provinces recently. She said that Mar Roxas should not praise himself for helping during the Super Typhoon Yolanda which struck the country in November 8, 2013.
“I believe that his arrogance and narcissism will cause him to self-destruct and karma will soon catch up with him. Pero graaaaabe….sobra na to!!!” she said.
“How dare you glorify yourself at the expense of Yolanda Victims? Wala kang ginawa kungdi ibida ang sarili mo sa lahat ng interview sayo,” she added.
Liza Diño pointed out that Mar Roxas should not boast since it is his duty to serve the public, noting that sacrifices are part of his job as a public servant. She also wrote that there is no hero in Yolanda since many people remained to be victims of the calamity until now.
Furthermore, criticized the supporters of former DILG secretary for creating the comics. She accused them for allegedly targeting the people who have no access to information.
Lastly, the actress asked where are the donations from the other countries went, noting that there are no enough housing projects for the survivors despite the large amount of pledges.
Since the comics were released, a lot of people lambasted Mar Roxas, including his rivals, Catholic leaders, and internet users.
