Son of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr, Ferdinand Alexander Marcos was made to react to his dad’s critics after the Vice Presidential debate held on Sunday at the University of Santo Tomas. This was after unidentified hecklers jeered at the Senator during the 3-hour discussion.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Ferdinand Alexander Marcos said that the same people have been doing it since the elections started, noting that they already expected it.
“The same people have been doing the same things. It’s the beginning of the elections. I think it was expected and I think it was handled in a good way,” he said.
He also said that he understands that people have their opinion about their family. He appealed that people should voice out their thoughts with respect.
“I understand that people have their opinions about how my family is and how they should be. I just ask these people that we be treated in the same way that they would be like to be treated. If we respect them, I would appreciate if they respect us too,” he added.
Senator Bongbong Marcos was the only son of Imelda Marcos and former president Ferdinand Marcos, who ruled the country for 20 years. He was infamous for his corruption, discipline, and extravagance.
The third vice presidential debate was organized by Commission on Elections (Comelec) with its media partners including CNN Philippines. It was participated by Senator Antonio Trillanes, Senator Bongbong Marcos, Senator Gringo Honasan, Senator Alan Cayetano and Camarines Sur representative Leni Robredo.
