Mayor Romulo Peña Jr. Withdraws Debate To 2nd District Rep. Abegail “Abby” Binay
Makati City Mayor Romulo Peña Jr. or known as “Kid” no show to his scheduled debate to mayoralty candidate 2nd District Rep. Abegail “Abby” Binay this Wednesday night without knowing his reason.
Almost 150 members of Rotary Club waited for him in the debate that was organized by the Rotary Club of Makati Business District held in Makati Sports Club.
According to balita.net, Peña and Binay are both runs for the position of City Mayor. But if Abby Binay was elected, she will be the 4th member of the family who will sit as a City Mayor of Makati.
Rep. Binay, the child of United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) standard bearer Vice President Jejomar Binay, denounced Peña for not occurring in their supposedly debate.
According to the congressman, it was a said thing knowing that he did not give value the opportunity to face and assert his platforms to the Makati. For him, it is a big responsibility to give all the needed information for Makati to have enough basis for choosing the right City Mayor.
Rep. Binay explained why she wants to be a City Mayor to the Makati through her slogan stating, “Serbisyong tunay, serbisyong Binay.”
“Sana po patuloy ninyong suportahan ang tatay ng Makati, dahil ni minsan hindi kayo nawala sa kanyang puso at isipan. Sana po bigyan niyo po ako ng pagkakataon na mahalin din kayo, na paglingkuran din kayo, gaya ng ginawa ng tatay ko. Isang malaking karangalan po para sa akin na maging susunod na mayor,” said Rep. Binay.
