No More Negative Remarks. It seemed that Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is in spotlight as he continues to lead the presidential survey but along with these comes the issues thrown against him especially with his negative remarks to certain issues.
Duterte drawn flak from supporters and critics following his controversial remarks to the Australian r@pe victim, now with the new brewing controversial he is facing with his recent remark to the differently-abled persons.
With his supporters standing firm against criticisms and speculations, one netizen affirmed her belief over Duterte’s capability to bring change to the country however asked the other candidates and supporters to remain firm without being offensive to others.
In an open letter, Andrea Carigma told the mayor not to let the criticism online get the best of him.
Duterte have recently issued his statements to the criticisms, however, Carigma said that the mayor’s recent responses to negative comments have her the impression that the online discussions were finally taking a toll on him.
Carigma wrote on Facebook that the criticisms will not stop trying to bring Duterte down because he is a strong contender. She also asked supporters to back up Duterte but not in the same way as much as negativity is concerned.
“You want Duterte as president? Prove it. Show the world you are capable of being disciplined. You want the Philippines to get better? Well, you are a Filipino-a part of the Philippines as a whole. This is the first challenge for you,” she said in her post.
As of posting, her facebook post have already reached more than 2, 000 shares.
The no-holds bar approach of Duterte has drawn criticisms with his unfiltered reactions and speeches with curses. Duterte earlier reacted saying that he will not filter himself especially from speaking.
