Grace Poe promised to create 1 million jobs every year.
Neophyte senator and presidential candidate Grace Poe has vowed to create 1 million jobs every year if she will be elected as president. This is her way to address poverty, noting that even ordinary Filipinos will feel inclusive growth.
During a campaign rally in Agusan del Norte, the 47-year-old lawmaker said that the economic growth that the administration is saying would mean nothing if the people, especially if the poor cannot feel it.
Poe said that the country should boost the infrastructure spending as it will create more jobs and opportunities. She also believe that starting business in the country should be easy as it will attract more businessmen who will offer jobs.
“We will strengthen agriculture, tourism and manufacturing. We need more manufacturing plants and we just need to make sure that the ease of doing business is strengthened,” she was quoted by Philstar.
Grace Poe also said that she will push for women empowerment. She said that she will create a department that will be composed of female employees. The department will monitor government agencies to make sure that their work is met on time.
Aside from that, she also wants to tap female leaders from Barangays. She said that their duty will focus on updating the Malacanang about projects in their respective areas. This will ensure that her administration can reach out to every one.
Grace Poe is running with Senator Chiz Escudero. The election this year will be held on May 9 and will be conducted at selected Barangay Elementary school nationwide.
