Rodrigo Duterte fired back presidential rivals Jejomar Binay and Mar Roxas.
PDP-Laban stanard-bearer Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte fired back at his presidential rivals Vice President Jejomar Binay and administration bet Mar Roxas after the two candidates ganged up to criticize the tough-talking Mayor of Davao City.
On Monday, former Makati City Mayor tagged Rodrigo Duterte as “Pambansang Berdugo” during his campaign rally, while Roxas said on an interview that he is a “threat to democracy.”
Reacting on the criticisms, Duterte lambasted his rivals during his campaign rally in Taguig City. He called Binay as “berdugo ng pera ng tao” and he told Roxas, “bakla ka.”
“Sabi nila, I am a threat to democracy. Ako raw ang berdugo ng bayan. Vice President, ikaw ang berdugo ng pera ng tao,” ABS-CBN News quoted him saying.
“Ito namang isa (Roxas), ako raw ay diktador, pala-away, mainitin ang ulo. Kaya ka walang sumusunod sa gobyerno ninyo, kasi ikaw, bakla ka,” he added.
The criticisms started after the Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey commissioned by Business World saw Rodrigi Duterte leading with 27 percent. Senator Grace Poe, who dominated the previous polls, placed second with 23 percent.
The survey with a margin error of +/-3 showed Binay and Roxas statistically tied in third spot with 20 percent and 18 percent, respectively. Miriam Defensor-Santiago came last with only 5 percent.
In the latest Pulse Asia survey commissioned by ABS-CBN, Duterte was also the frontrunner with 30 percent, Poe got the second spot with 25 percent followed by Binay and Roxas who tied in the third place with 20 and 19 percent respectively. Santiago is still on the bottom spot with 2 percent.
