Mystica criticized presidential hopeful Rodrigo Duterte over platform.
Rock Diva Ruby Rose Mauanay Villanueva, popularly known as “Mystica,” slammed Davao City Mayor and presidential bet Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte. She also criticized Duterte’s platform including his plans to end corruption and unlawful acts in six months.
Mystica posted a video of herself on Facebook that has already gone viral on social media sites. In the said clip, the singer enumerated why she hate the presidential frontrunner.
The artist also expressed her disagreement over Duterte’s plans if elected including curfews and martial law. She also narrated how her father struggled to fought for democracy during martial law time.
Aside from that, Mystica revealed that she was offered by the camp of Duterte to join them and endorse the tough-talking mayor.
“Inoferan ako ng mga nasa pulitiko. Kung sino-sino mga ‘yon, talagang malalaking taong ito. Inoferan ako, babayaran ako pra lg ma iba ang utak ko para lang bumaliktad at sumanib kay Duterte.” she said.
While she reiterated that showbiz is still business, Mystica said that she will stand on her principle because she doesn’t believe that Duterte can end corruption and crimes in just three to six months.
Rodrigo Duterte became infamous because of his statement about unlawful doings and corruption. His rivals including senator Grace Poe, Administration bet Mar Roxas, and Vice President Jejomar Binay have been also criticizing his platform.
Meanwhile, Duterte is now busy campaigning with his running mate Senator Alan Peter Cayetano for the May 9 election.
