Boosting Tie With Brunei Seeks By President Duterte During His State Visit

President Rodrigo Duterte wants stronger Philippines through boosting the tie between Manila and Brunei, Malacañang says on Friday (October 15, 2016).

On October 16 to 18, 2016, the president will have is state visit on Brunei Darussalam to boost the ties between Manila and Bandar Seri Begawan. Rodrigo was supposed to visit Brunei last September 04, 2016 but due to the Davao incident happened last September 02, in Roxas night market.

His visit to Brunei was supposed to be his first trip outside the country as the Philippine president. His trip is a part of its traditional tour of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Earlier Duterte threatens the United States to withdraw their financial assistance in the Philippines.

The president also said that the Philippines can stand on its own without the foreign aid and if ever the US will pull out their financial aid in the country, Duterte will go to China and Russia and boost their economic ties.
