Presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte will still roam around in his taxi to protect the people and make sure that everyone is following the rules. This was according to a report on GMA-7‘s “Unang Balita.”

According to the tough-talking politician, this will be a bad news to holduppers who will attempt to hail his vehicle.

Duterte also said that he doesn’t need bodyguards since he knows that no one would attempt to take his life.

The outgoing Davao City Mayor is well-known for curbing crimes in his hometown. It was reported that he disguises himself as a taxi driver to make sure that the people are following the rules.

Recently, Duterte’s camp said that the presumptive president will implement nationwide 1:00 am liquor ban and 10:00 pm curfew for minors.

According to Duterte, the liquor ban is part of his efforts to get rid of crimes and alcohol-related incidents such as road mishaps.

It will also allow the customers and consumers to rest and prepare for the next day of work. While the liquor ban will start as early as 10:00 pm, Duterte said that people have the whole day to purchase.

As for the 10:00 pm curfew, Duterte said that he doesn’t see any significant reason why minors should stay late outside their house. He said that it will also help them prepare for the next school day.

Duterte plans to copy Davao City’s city ordinance that prohibits the sale of liquors from 1 am in the entire country.

Duterte became infamous of his statement that he will get rid of unlawful acts and corruption in just 3 to 6 months after he was elected.
