The “Pilipinas Got Talent” judge sued the Twitter user named “Miss Krizzy” for criticizing Padilla’s Instagram post showing a “shaded ballot.”

The netizen said that Padilla should be sent to jail as he violated the law.  “This is a clear violation of election law! Throw him in jail as well. No one is above the law,” she said.

In the complaint according to Pep, Atty. Ronald Aguto said that their client is not a registered voter due to the issues during his conviction.

He added that Padilla can not acquire an official ballot or go to a voting precinct since he cannot vote.

“Please note that our client [Robin] is NOT a registered voter due to complications brought about by his prior conviction. As such, he could neither possess/acquire an official ballot nor enter a voting precinct,” the statement reads.

Robin Padilla was recently criticized by posting a shaded ballot on his Instagram. Her wife Mariel Rodriguez earlier defended him, saying that it was only a sample ballot paper.

In a separate interview with Padilla, he said that he has already forgiven the people who apologized. But for those people who didn’t ask an apology, he said that he will let the law work to get his justice.

Robin Padilla is known to be an active supporter of the Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, who is still leading the presidential race.
