Robin Padilla has issued a statement over photo of his shaded ballot which he reportedly posted on social media but was deleted.
The 46-year-old action star posted the letter of his lawyer on image-sharing site, Instagram to inform the public that he did not violate any Commission on Election (COMELEC) rule/law.
Robin Padilla noted in the caption that despite he was barged to exercise his right to suffrage, he was accused of as such.

He added the he was “judged by some netizens for violating election rules while voting.”
Robin Padilla, who has been an avid supporter of presidential race front-runner Rodrigo Duterte also called out COMELEC to “arrest” him and put him into jail if he was found out to have come before a “precinct, voted and took pictures of an official ballot.”
Rudolf Philip B. Jurado, the legal counsel of Robin Padilla said that the actor did not violate any election rule “since it was neither an official ballot nor taken inside a voting precinct.”
Mariel Rodriguez, the wife of Robin Padilla earlier posted a message on her Instagram account to defend her husband over the controversy.
“People should be more careful. They shouldn’t assume! IT WAS A SAMPLE BALLOT!!! we call this the Trillanes Syndrome…No evidence, all talk. If anyone can prove that Robin Padilla went to a precinct, voted, and took photos of his ballot, I will help you convict him. I am that sure that Robin didn’t do that….Why? Because ROBIN PADILLA CANNOT VOTE!!!!”
