Padilla expressed deep admiration for Medialdea’s commitment to standing by Duterte despite his deteriorating health. “Hindi matatawaran ang dedikasyon ni ES Medialdea sa pagtatanggol kay Pangulong Duterte. Kahit sa kabila ng kanyang kondisyon, patuloy siyang naglilingkod at sumusuporta sa kanyang kaibigan,” Padilla said in his post.

The former Executive Secretary had been actively participating in the legal proceedings and assisting Duterte’s legal team in addressing the charges brought before the ICC. Medialdea, known for his close ties to Duterte, has been a key figure in defending the former president amid allegations of crimes against humanity linked to the controversial war on drugs.

According to sources close to the team, Medialdea’s collapse was attributed to extreme fatigue caused by the intense schedule of hearings and legal preparations. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital in The Hague, receiving prompt medical attention. Reports indicate that Medialdea is now in stable condition and is being closely monitored by doctors.

Padilla, known for his staunch support of Duterte’s administration, emphasized the sacrifices Medialdea has made to ensure Duterte receives a fair and strong defense. “Mabuhay ka, ES Bingbong. Alam namin na ang iyong puso at isip ay palaging para sa bayan,” Padilla added, using Medialdea’s nickname.

The incident has drawn concern from Duterte supporters, who have been closely following the developments at the ICC. Many expressed their prayers and well wishes for Medialdea’s swift recovery.

As of now, Medialdea remains under observation, and his medical team is assessing his condition before determining if he can resume his duties in the ongoing ICC proceedings. Meanwhile, Padilla’s social media post has gained traction, with many netizens expressing their support and admiration for Medialdea’s unwavering dedication.
