To preserve and enhance the richness of the seas around Negros Island, the Sagay City Environment and Natural Resources Office initiated a project advocating for national success in breeding various unique lobster species at the Sagay Marine Reserve (SMR) this month.
The said project aims to maintain and boost the lobster population in Negros Island, intending to preserve the health of the oceans and provide additional income to the community. Led by the Sagay City Environment and Natural Resources Office, they began breeding two unique lobster varieties at the SMR.
Through this project, Sagay City becomes a pioneer in promoting the spawning of unique lobster species in Negros Island. The city showcased its concern for the environment and commitment to the wealth of the seas by taking the lead in this project.
The SMR is considered a crucial part of the natural wealth of Sagay City, and this project emphasizes the need for careful stewardship of the marine reserve. By choosing two unique lobster species, the city demonstrates its dream of preserving and promoting biodiversity in the area.
This is not just a simple lobster breeding project but a step towards national success. This project serves as an inspiration for other communities to care for their environment and join in the advocacy for ocean conservation.
Under the leadership of the Sagay City Environment and Natural Resources Office, the entire community is hopeful that this project will succeed. Each step they take brings hope for a brighter and more prosperous future for Sagay City and Negros Island as a whole.
