Special treatment to Daniel Padilla and his mom at voting precinct?
San Miguel PureFoods Great Food Solutions VP and general manager Helene Zalvidea Pontejos reacted to the “special treatment” given to Daniel Padilla and his mom Karla Estrada at the voting precinct.
The San Miguel executive took to social networking site, Facebook where she posted her sentiment over the alleged “special treatment” of the teen star and his mother as they cast their votes on Monday, May 9, 2016 in the local and national elections.
In a statement retrieved by entertainment website Fashion Pulis, the food and beverage company executive said that she was dismayed after security personnel allowed the actor whom she called “model for the youth” barged into the voting precinct, leaving her and other voters in a long line.
Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernanrdo are under fire for allegedly violating a Commission on Elections rule on ballot secrecy.
Two of the country’s hottest stars who are popularly known for their love team, KathNiel, got the netizens ire over their photo with their respective election ballots.
They were flooded with criticism online with some claiming that they committed an election offense. The photos which are currently making rounds online even caught the attention of COMELEC spokesperson who stated in a Twitter post that he need to talk with the two.
Just recently, Daniel Padilla has been subject of online discussion over his response to the netizens especially those who bashed them after supporting Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas.

With the way the picture was taken both of them were not doing a selfie. Malay mo fans who were statstruck took a picture of them.then uploaded the picture. Sabi sa rules, not allowed to do selfie. Both were not taking a picture of themselves with their ballots ibang tao nag pick. And about them jumping in line, the people in the precinct were the ones who ushered them in.. hindi sila.nag barge in without permission
Problem was no one dared call them out. If a lot did, they’d be shamed into falling in line. You deserve the treatment you get. Here in the US, you can’t just jump the line no matter who you are. Third world attitude. If they were here, they’d fall in line for sure.
