Sen. Miriam Santiago had a photo surfacing the internet after report of being hospitalized. Meanwhile many netizens quote her as, ‘My President’ showing support to the strong woman.
The photo portrays the senator together with her husband, Narciso Santiago Jr. and three of their grandchildren who seemed enjoying the moment. The Senator also turned 71 the previous week and extend her thanks to those who greeted her on her special day.
The photo was captured by the Senator’s daughter in law captured with the fallowing lines in her page, “this photo was taken today by Senator Santiago’s daughter-in-law. The senator and her family would like to thank everyone who continues to pray and wish for her immediate healing and recovery.”
It can be recalled that Santiago had less known public appearances after the May 9 elections. The presidential candidate have lost in the five-way presidential race. also, Santiago was rushed to the hospital after she developed pneumonia, and even stayed in the intensive care unit for two days.
Miriam had continually expressed her gratefulness to all her family who stays with her always, friends, supporters fans and other people who continually help in praying for her fast recovery and also to those who sent their well wishes in facebook.
Sen. Miriam Santiago was known sick and suffered complications even before the election period. It can be recalled that the “Iron Lady of Asia” suffered from health issues and announce it to the public herself. In previous interviews, the strong woman claimed that she is doing fine because of the unnamed pill that she takes as her medication goes on. She even gives assurance that she will surely beat her disease soon and see the struggle as a challenge.
