Senator Raffy Tulfo shared images of Sheila Guo, the sister of former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo, and Cassandra Li Ong, one of the incorporators of Lucky South 99. According to the senator, they are currently in the custody of the Immigration office in Indonesia after being apprehended by local authorities.
The two are expected to arrive this afternoon, August 22, on Philippine Airlines Flight PR 540 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 from Jakarta, Indonesia. This was confirmed by Senator Tulfo, who also provided information about their arrest.
The duo was caught at Mega Mall Batam Centre, a well-known shopping center in Riau, Indonesia, on August 20. Reports indicate that the authorities acted swiftly after receiving information about the group’s presence in the area. It is believed that former Mayor Alice Guo was with them but managed to evade capture before her companions were apprehended.
Senator Tulfo further revealed that the group allegedly entered Jakarta from Singapore via a cruise ship. It remains unclear how former Mayor Guo managed to escape, but the investigation is ongoing to determine her whereabouts and how she managed to elude the authorities.
The arrest of Sheila Guo and Cassandra Li Ong marks a significant development for the authorities in both the Philippines and Indonesia, especially since their activities have been under surveillance for some time due to their involvement in various issues. Their arrival in the Philippines is expected to shed light on the cases they are implicated in and could lead to the eventual capture of former Mayor Alice Guo.
At present, the authorities are making arrangements for their return to the country and the necessary legal actions to be taken against them. A deeper investigation has also been launched to determine if there are other individuals involved in their group and to uncover the true motive behind their escape from the country.
