SENATOR BONGBONG – 2016 vice presidential candidate Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. waits for the response for the election protest filed against Vice President Leny Robredo.
According to the report in Inquirer, 10 days were given to the side of the Vice President to answer the protest of Senator Bongbong. The 10-day period was legally assigned by the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, the Supreme Court.
Way back in the 2016 election, it was a landslide on the presidential position by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte but there was a close fight among Marcos and Robredo on the vice presidential post.
According to the report, a high court resolution already entails actions. It orders to issue summon to VP Robredo and to preserve the election returns that are in question in the matter.
Through the order, the Commission on Election is being tasked to locate and keep those ERs for recounting which would be done manually, revision b the judiciary, and technical examination.
