SK Abolition Opposes By NYC Chairperson Aiza Seguerra
SK abolition opposes by NYC (National Youth Commission) Chairperson Aiza Seguerra when House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez proposed to abolish SK.
Aiza Seguerra has voiced out not to deprive the ability of the young people to lead. Seguerra shows the uniqueness of SK committee she also describes it as “feature of Philippine democracy and the importance of involvement of youth with this kind of activity.
“By providing this venue for young people to participate in governance, we are investing in the next generation of effective local and national leaders,” said by Aiza quoted by GMA. The barangay and SK election this coming October were planned to abolish by Alvarez.
The house speaker said that when SK was forced to work they will not go to school then if you force them to go to school they will not work, so the SK can have their salary without doing anything he in Leyte on Saturday (August 27, 2016). The House of Representatives is already presented by the youth sector noted by Alvarez.
