‘Stop Contractualization,’ Says Duterte To Business Firms

‘Stop contractualization’  is the firm message of the President to business firms.

STOP CONTRACTUALIZATION – In the pursuit to give Filipino workers the just compensations and stability in their jobs, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte announced his firmness on pushing for the end of contractualization.

President Duterte pushes for the the end of contractualization or ‘endo’ for the welfare of the Filipino workers who rely on their jobs to feed their families. This contractualization limits the job duration of an employee to five months which takes away stability.

Recently, report has been released on the action of the removal of ‘endo’ in the field of employment as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has released a memorandum taking the initial steps.

In another report, Inquirer stated the pushing through of the Duterte administration on the removal of the said matter.

According to the report, the President himself addressed the business firms to stop contractualization or their plants would be closed. He even emphasized that he can find numerous ways to do it.

In a press briefing, the President addressed workers to lay out their concerns to 8888 complaint hotline in cases their employers don’t give them the intended benefits that they are ought to have.
