Play became too real as student’s throats cut for real.
New Zealand—It could have been a perfect play for the students who were taking part in the musical when the act was done as scripted, but the production became all too real when two pupils were hospitalized with neck wounds.
The boys were part of the “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of the Fleet Street” and were on the part where the murderous barber would slit his victim’s throat with a straight razor.
Reportedly, the boys received “cuts to the neck” with one going through the serious injuries while one has been reported to be in the moderate condition.
A spokesman of the exclusive school in New Zealand said that the incident was a performance of some description that went wrong. The head of the college meanwhile said that the school was “distressed” and thereby counsel all students including the members of the play.
According to Steve Cole, Saint Kentigern’s head of college, said that they already talked to the parents of the boys and that they are already in a stable condition however said that they are looking into the incident.
“An investigation is being conducted to determine exactly what happened and ensure this does not recur,” he added.
While so, some of the students believe that there must be something mysterious going on in the musical play, something they all could not explain.
“As notoriously difficult to produce,” the production of the play was already barred by the school.
The play was attuned into motion film which was filled with pith and grossness. The musical was helmed by watchers and is highly entertaining.
