Supporters Of Romulo Kid Peña Stormed The Makati City Hall
Although Abigail Binay was already proclaimed as the next mayor in Makati City, still the supporters of former Mayor Romulo Kid Peña remains unshaken and even invades the City Hall to denounce the alleged fraud on their bets.
The supporters of the defeated Makati City mayoralty candidate Romulo Kid Peña asserted to demand a vote recount due to the alleged manipulation of vote counting.
This was after the proclamation that Abigail Binay, the current congresswoman in the city and the daughter of the defeated presidential candidate Vice President Jejomar Binay, was elected to be the next Mayor of Makati City.
Based on the result of poll, Binay is ahead of Peña with 15,999 votes.
According to the report of balita.net, supporters of Peña said that there is a manipulation occurred during vote counting, especially in District II that former Mayor Kid considered as bastion.
The supporters also claimed that there is a comprehensive vote-buying and there are flying voters flocked the “embo” barangay, therefore only few voted Peña in some polling precinct.
