TG Guingona Says, Pinoy Should Support The Next President After The Election
With six days left before the election on Monday, Liberal Party senatorial bet Teofisto ” TG” Guingona III called for the Filipinos to support whoever of the five presidential candidate will be elected.
Because of the intensity of politics in the country, senator said that the voters should give value to end the politics after the election and promote the unity.
According to balita.net, Senator TG used the “Team Philippines”, a favorite political slogan of former president Fidel V. Ramos as an example to promote the unity of netizens after each election.
“Though it will not be easy, let’s work together and put our house in order,” said by Guingona when he appeared in a “Hot Seat” candidates forum in Manila Bulletin yesterday.
If he will be succeeded to be re-elected again in the position of Senate, Guingona assures that he will continue to fight for corruption , promoting healthcare system, and helping to resolve the rebellion in the country.
“As early as my high school days, the rebellion of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA), Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) have been [hounding the Philippines]. Now, I’m a senator already and the problem about them is still out there,” said Guingona.
When rebellion in the country will be resolved, the government could provide funds for strengthening the Armed Forces of the Philippines, particularly the Philippine Navy, due to the growing intrusion into the territory of the country.
According to him, right now, with the superpower right off the shores of Palawan and Pangasinan, he thinks that it is imperative that they do the paradigm shift to their armed forces which in the other hand cannot be done until the country will have peace.
