DFA is not worried about Trump’s policy.
DFA is confident that not too many Filipinos will be affected by Trump’s Policy to crack down the undocumented immigrants in the US.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that just a few Filipinos who are living in the United States illegally are facing deportation under the administration of incoming US President Donald Trump.
According to a report of Inquirer. net, Assistant Secretary Charles Jose, spokesperson for the DFA issued a statement that confirmed that only a small number of Filipinos are undocumented in the US.
Jose said that Trump’s policy is not too worrisome.
The Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III urged the undocumented Filipinos who are living in the United state not to wait for the crackdown and instead come home.
“It’s better that they come home now,” he said.
