Popular vlogger Ronie Suan, widely known as Boy Tapang, was arrested following allegations of mistreating his live-in partner. The 21-year-old complainant, Cristina Morales, sought police assistance after experiencing repeated distressing incidents.

The reported altercation took place in Brgy. Daanlungsod, Alcoy, around midnight on April 1, 2025. According to Police Captain Gerry Magsayo, officer-in-charge of the Alcoy Police Station, Suan was taken into custody following the complaint.
Dispute Over Vape Reportedly Led to Conflict
Reports indicate that the disagreement began when Suan found a vape among Morales’ belongings. The situation escalated, allegedly resulting in physical harm. Morales sustained minor injuries and ultimately decided to file a report.
“Sumala sa iyahang live-in partner, dili ra daw karon nga time murag sige na daw ni… Selos kuno ang hinungdan,” Magsayo stated, suggesting that jealousy had been a recurring issue in their relationship.
Complainant Claims Previous Incidents
Authorities discovered that Morales had endured similar situations in the past but had hesitated to speak up due to personal reasons. She reportedly remained in the relationship out of fear and emotional attachment but eventually decided to seek legal protection.
Legal Action and Charges Filed
Suan cooperated with authorities during his arrest and did not resist. He has undergone inquest proceedings and now faces charges under Republic Act No. 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
The court has set a bail of P3,000 for his temporary release. However, authorities stated that the case will proceed, and additional legal actions may follow based on further evidence and testimonies.
