Villar wealthiest among all senators with zero declared liability
Senator Cynthia Villar wealthiest among all senators based on their 2015 statement of assets, liabilities and networth (SALN).
The wife of former Senator Manny Villar, remained the only billionaire member of the Senate based on her declared SALN, Villar got even richer than a billion pesos last year. Data show that From P1.983 billion in 2014, Senator Villar’s net worth raised to P3.5 billion as of Dec. 31, 2015. The senator has declared a zero liability on the said year.
Meanwhile, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero became the poorest senator. He got poorer based on record by hundred thousands of pesos when his net worth dropped to P5.847 million in 2015 from P6.049 million in 2014. Chiz has been reported to concede with the vice presidential race and prefers Robredo to win.
On the other hand, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was the poorest among the senators based on the 2014 SALN with P5.549 million net worth. He got richer by more than P400,000 when his net worth rose to P5.984 million last year. Trillanes has been known to allege the presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte to have undeclared bank accounts last campaign period. Hence, he has accepted defeat on the vice presidential race and declares he concede and submits to the will of the people.
Among the top riches members of the Senate last year is Senator Grace Poe declaring a net worth of P89.118 million based on their SALN. Poe as a candidate for the presidential seat and has conceded over the presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte.
