#WalangPasok: January 30, 2018 In Selected Universities

Here are the selected universities which are included in #WalangPasok on January 30, 2018 in Metro Manila

Local government of Metro Manila declares January 30, 2018 as special non-working holiday in selected universities.

#WalangPasok will be implemented in Centro Escolar University and San Beda College on the aforementioned date.

Based on the recent post on the official Facebook Page of the Kapuso morning show ‘Unang Hirit’, the said educational institution will observe a holiday due to a specific reason.

It was said that the local government of Metro Manila is set to discuss matters with the CEU officials regarding the rallyist in front of the Mendiola Peace Arch.

There will be no classes in Senior High School and College levels in CEU Manila.

According to the official statement from the said university, the City government plans to persuade the protestors to leave.

However, the teaching and nonteaching personnel will have to report.  The institution also advised their personnel to avoid the vicinity of Mendiola Peace Arch.

Given the circumstances tomorrow regarding the plan of the City government to persuade the rallyists in front of the Mendiola Peace Arch to leave, there will be NO CLASSES in the SHS and college levels in CEU MANILA. Graduate School classes will proceed as scheduled. Teaching and nonteaching personnel shall however report for work on account of the ongoing AUN QA certification. Personnel are advised to avoid the vicinity of the Mendiola Peace Arch which shall be closed to pedestrians as well. Alternate routes are Concepcion Aguila and San Rafael Sts. San Beda with the permission of their President has graciously acceded to our request to allow CEU personnel to use their LRT Legarda gate. Please be sure to wear your CEU ID. Please be guided accordingly.

In line with this announcement of #WalangPasok in selected universities, the classes in San Beda College Manila are also suspended on January 30, 2018.

Based on the post of ‘Unang Hirit’, the class suspension is according to the announcement of Manila Police District.

It is due to the reason that the City government of Manila plans to talk with the activist group called Kadamay.
