Women Who Were Stealing From Foreigner In Cebu Caught On CCTV

Group of women faced theft charges as they were caught on CCTV when they were stealing from a female foreigner in a mall in Cebu.

Five women caught on the act as they were seen on CCTV when they were stealing from a female foreigner in a mall in Mandaue City, Cebu.

As the said foreigner was choosing the products she wanted to buy, four other women approached her almost the same time and tried to create diversion in order to distract her.

In the video, a woman who was wearing a black shirt was seen trying to get something from the bag of the foreigner while other women were still creating distraction, based on the article published in Pinoy Citizen.

It can also be seen that two of the women asked the help of the foreigner in reaching some items placed on a higher display rack. One woman was behind the victim while the fourth one was trying to steal something inside the bag of the foreigner as she was covering it.

When the fourth woman successfully got what she wanted to steal, she abruptly left the foreigner together with other accomplices and the fifth woman who acted as a look-out.

Fortunately, just a few moments after the group of women fled to escape, the foreigner was able to discover that there was something missing in her bag, so she tried to run after them.

The five suspects were caught through the help of the police and they were identified as Lorna Tumanda, Abigail Naval, Manuela Palamud, Josie Manggunyao, and Bernadette Mejia, based on the article.

PO2 Frederick Andales of Subangdaku Police Station said that the suspects were obviously distracting the foreigner as they were stealing from her.

The group of women from Cebu were faced with theft charges however they refused to explain their side regarding the case filed against them.
