According to the description of the video posted by the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) in London, the said event was done from April 24 to May 23 to try inviting people from London to pay a visit to the Philippines. It is said that the said event is part of the “Visit the Philippines Again 2016” campaign which is a station domination series.

Since the London Waterloo Station was part of the city’s sophisticated subway, numerous people pass by and get curious about the PDOT’s campaign and even tried some of the activities there.

The agency’s slogan, “It’s more fun in the Philippines” banners in the station wherein there are also photo booths featuring natural iconic tourist spots in the country where people can have photos as if they went to the Philippines for a holiday.

Also, a really amazing feature in the project are the virtual reality kiosks wherein one can experience as if they were snorkeling and swimming together with dolphins and whale sharks in the Philippines.

Commuters also received instant prizes and even had the chance to win a holiday treat to the Philippines.

“The whole thing is branded as Philippines so that in itself gives them an island feeling. Now it’s very cold, so they want to have this feel of island so it’s been very good so far. And we have offsite promotions as well,” said tourism attache and director of the Embassy of the Philippines in London Gerard O. Panga.
