Allan Palacios Chan To Sing PH Anthem In Pacquiao-Bradley 3

The Filipino-American tenor named Allan Palacios Chan will be singing the Philippine National Anthem during the Pacquiao-Bradley 3 bout on April 9 at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas.

The Fil-Am tenor will be singing together with Pacquiao’s chosen Pastors from General Santos and Sarangani. They will sing the Lupang Hinirang in front of thousands of crowd and the millions watching worldwide.

These Pastors have been already done this duty on Pacquiao’s last fight with Chris Algieri in Macau last 2014.

Allan Palacios Chan was born in the Philippines but was raised in Woodbridge, Virginia. There, he became a voice teacher and currently finishing his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

According to a report in Manila Bulletin, Allan said that he has been a fan of the Filipino boxing champ, Manny Pacquiao.

“I’ve been trying to get (Manny’s) attention in order to sing the Philippine National Anthem for one of his fights. I’ve watched fight after fight thinking how much I would love to hear Lupang Hinirang sung in classical rendition, which is what gave me the idea of asking him to let me sing,” Allan said as quoted in the article.

Allan Palacios Chan also shared how he was inspired by Pacquiao’s life since he also came from nothing. But, according to him, he was raised because of the help of other people. He also pointed out that just like Pacquiao, he always get on his knees and give thanks.

The confirmation of Allan’s singing for Pacquiao-Bradley 3 was because of Manny Pacquiao’s wife, Sarangani Vice Governor Jinkee Pacquiao.

Meanwhile, American Idol’s finale show winner Trent Harmon will be singing the National Anthem of the United States of America during the Pacquiao-Bradley 3.
