Bradley Endorses Pacquiao’s Senate Race

Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley Jr. wants to win over eight-division world boxing champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao on April 9. But, Bradley wanted the senatorial candidate Pacquiao to win on May 9 elections in the Philippines.

According to report by GMA News Online, during the final press conference of the two boxers at the MGM Grand, Bradley said:

“He’s a man of integrity. I think he’s the right man for the job. I hope you truly win!”

The boxing match on Sunday (PHL time) will be their third time bout at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bradley expressed that he wanted to have a clear victory over the 37-year-old Pacquiao since he won via a controversial decision in their first fight but, losing on their second.

With a friendly gesture, Bradley a delivered a statement during the final press conference expressing his belief that Filipinos must vote Manny in the May 9 elections.

“I read something the other day that someone said that Manny Pacquiao, in order to win his campaign…he has to win this fight. I think that is baloney. I think that is garbage. Honest to God, I don’t think the fight has anything to do with what this man has shown to the Filipino people,” Bradley said as quoted in Rappler.

The American boxer mistakenly said the Manny Pacquiao is running to be a Governor in the Philippines.

“He hasn’t shown everybody what he’s made of, everything he done, did for the Philippines, for the Filipino people? He is truly, truly, the only one out there that’s gonna do right for the Filipino people in the Philippines,” Bradley added.

Manny Pacquiao is a two-time representative of Saranggani province and is now aspiring to be a Senator this coming May 9 elections. He runs under the United Nationalist Alliance political party which is led by presidential candidate, Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Pacquiao said the he is donating his earnings from the fight to people and communities that need help.

He also announced that April 9 will be his last bout of his colorful 21-year career before retiring. Pacquiao said that he’ll be focusing on his political career after the fight.
