Filipino Jins Get 3 Golds In Poomsae Asian Championships

Filipinos got 3 golds, 4 silvers, and one bronze medal in the Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships

Filipinos got gold medals in the fourth Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships done at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, yesterday, April 18 (Manila time).

According to an article in PhilStar, the three Filipino Poomsae champions are named Jean Pierre Sabido, Ernesto Guzman Jr., and Glenn Lava got the gold medal in the male 30-above event in Poomsae. The three were all former members of the Philippines Taekwondo team.

The Iranian team came out second, scoring at 7.88. Then, the third one is Korea with 7.72.

Another jin named Jeordan Dominguez also got the gold for his impressive performances by doing high kicks in the 90-second freestyle routine. Dominguez, 25, is a taekwondo instructor in Baguio City.

Dominguez scored 7.72 over his Thailander opponent, Sakdinun Konggapun who scored 7.50 and to Chinese-Taipei’s Tao Hung Hwang having 7.24.

Another jin that took the gold is a female from the Far Eastern University named Juvenile Faye Crisostomo. Crisostomo won the freestyle gold in the women’s category. She scored 7.28 over Pich Chapma Tanakitcharoenpat of Thailand having 7.12 and of Vietnam’s Thi Mong Nguyen who scored 6.90.

Meanwhile, there are also four silver medals contributed on the tally by Jocel Lyn Ninobla, Clare Therese Gascon, and Angelica Joyce Gaw. Also for the male, Dustin Jacob Mella, Raphael Enrico Mella, and Rodolfo Reyes Jr.

To add, there is a bronze medal won by Rinna Babanto and Mella.
