La Salle Lady Spikers Ready To Represent In The RP Team
Newly-crowned UAAP women’s volleyball champion De La Salle Lady Spikers is prepared and will never reject the opportunity to play for the flag of the Philippines if ever offered to represent the country in the Southeast Asian Games.
Each of the members of the Lady Spikers gave their messages yesterday in their visit in PSA forum.
Kim Fajardo speaks that she will never reject the opportunity and all of them are ready to play for the country.
“Iba po ang pakiramdam siyempre na naglalaro ka para sa bansa at saka iyung experience mo na makukuha playing against other countries,” she said.
This is also the answer of the graduates were Mika Reyes, Ara Galang, Demecillo Cid, as well as the rest of the seniors team, Mary Joy Kim Baron and Kianna Dy.
“It will be one great experience,” Dy’s statement, named as 78th UAAP Season volleyball Finals MVP. “No fixed course if you’re playing for your flag and country.”
According to balita.net, the Philippine volleyball has no permanent team yet due to the current leadership friction in Volleyball Game of the Philippines Inc. and Philippine Volleyball Federation.
Neverthless, the LVPI can call for a help in Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) due to the blessing of the Philippine Olympic Committee.
Also for La Salle, they achieved the 9th UAAP volleyball crown when they prevented Alyssa Valdez and the Ateneo Lady Eagles in the target league history -a “three-peat.”
