Manny Pacquiao arrives in Las Vegas, Nevada to continue training for his historic bout against Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley on April 9. This boxing match is expected to be Pacquiao’s last and final fight of his colorful career as a boxer.
According to a report on GMA News Online, Pacquiao will train at the University of Nevada together with his team that include Coach Justine Fortune and assistant coach Buboy Fernandez.
The eight-division world boxing champion hopes to end his career by winning and even knocking out his opponent for their third time bout at the MGM Grand.
The Pacquiao team flew from Los Angeles where the Wild Card Gym is. They have been training on this gym for many years now.
The Wild Card Gym was run by his Hall of Fame head trainer, Freddie Roach. Pacquiao and Roach have been together since 2001 wherein a strong bond has been established.
‘I don’t think this is it, so I don’t think I’m going to have to get sad or anything like that,’ Roach said. ‘If it is it, I will miss him, and we’ll be friends forever. But he’s always been a great guy to me. It would be different not having him around, for sure, but life goes on. It’s OK,’ said Roach as quoted by DailyMail.
April 9’s boxing match couldn’t possibly be Manny’s last fight because he might be stepping on the Olympic boxing ring to represent the Philippines if it permits.
Manny Pacquiao has a record of 57 wins, 6 losses, two draws, 38 of which are from knockouts while Timothy Bradley records 33 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw including 13 knockouts.
Will Manny Pacquiao reign victorious over Timothy Bradley?
