Floyd Mayweather Sr. said on a statement that Manny Pacquiao would not win against Timothy Bradley if Bradley would fight like his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr. on April 9.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Pacquiao via unanimous decision on May 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. It is a record-breaking one.
Tim Bradley fought and won against Brandon Rios via KO last November 2015. This is what the veteran trainer Mayweather Sr. is saying that if Bradley would carry that strategy on April 9, he might win against the eight-division world boxing champion Pacquiao.
“Overall, I think that if Bradley does what he did the other day versus Rio], if Bradley fights that way right there, Pacquiao doesn’t have a chance,” said Mayweather Sr. as quoted in Boxing Scene.
“That’s what my son did. He hit him when he wanted to and then went and moved. Move and hit him. That is it and Bradley can do the same thing,” he added.
But, the Filipino boxing hero disagrees with what Floyd Mayweather Sr. has said. Pacquiao said that Bradley boxes very differently compared to Floyd Jr. He also said that Bradley is slower than Floyd Jr.
Pacquiao’s head trainer, Freddie Roach also stated that Bradley can never be Mayweather Jr. The Hall of Fame trainer said that it’s not even close and it’s like “night and day.”
Roach also believes that Manny Pacquiao could still knock out an opponent if given a chance just like his prime.
What can you say about Floyd Mayweather Sr.’s statement?
Can Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley really defeat Manny Pacquiao on April 9?
