NBA Now Has Office In The Philippines, Strengthens Presence In SEA

NBA Opens Office In PHL To Strengthen Presence

The National Basketball Association or the NBA opens office and makes a footprint in the Philippines by building its office at Global City in Taguig.

According to a report in Philstar, the NBA office that’s been planted in the Philippine soil was the first in Southeast Asia and it is the 13th in the world.

NBA Philippines managing director Carlo Singson told Philstar that the idea has been discussed before and it came to a decision to put up the office in the country.

Singson will be accompanied by few but dedicated staff to help the NBA Philippines “expand the NBA’s global mission” and also level up its business lines in the country.

Carlo Singson has been working in the NBA for about 18 years already. He even served in the NBA headquarters in  New York and in Hong Kong.

“By establishing an office here, the NBA will be in a better position to work with its valued partners and deliver the best NBA experiences to some of the world’s most passionate fans,” Singson said.

Singson even said that the Filipinos knew the NBA as high as 99 percent. And that it is said to be the highest in the world or just second in the U.S.

NBA’s offices are in Beijing, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Mumbai, New York/New Jersey, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Toronto and Taipei.

The Managing director for the NBA Philippines also said that there are also plans to bring the NBA to provinces and to the people.

“We are very, very excited,” he said.
