Fighters Ready To Replace Conor McGregor At UFC 200 After ‘Retiring’

Fighters Show Up After UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor ‘Retires’

After the ‘immediate retirement’ of the UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor, several MMA fighters are showing their interest to be in the grandiose event. The event will be the UFC 200 wherein Nate Diaz and McGregor will be in the main event.

But, McGregor’s recent post on Twitter states that “he is retiring young.”

But, the expected mega fight for the UFC bout seems not going to happen since UFC officials have already confirmed that McGregor withdrew from the rematch between him and Diaz.

After posting on twitter, UFC fighters showed up their interest to fill in the vacancy.

One is Dustin Poirier. He said on his Twitter, “I’ll fight Nate! Let me get that!!”

Another fighter came up in the name of Cub Swanson saying, “I’m down to scrap a southpaw at #UFC200 @danawhite.”

Even Diego Sanchez, wrote on his Twitter saying, “@TheNotoriousMMA (McGregor) just retired @NateDiaz209 let’s give @ufc200 a real epic street fight in the cage @arielhelwani.”

Another one showed by the name of Cowboy Cerrone, a most-probable fill-in who said, “Dear Dana, I’m pretty open July 9th. Have this thing June 18th in Canada. But after that I’m Game the [four-letter word] ON!!!”

According to Foxsports, Cerrone and Poirier are solid choices to replace McGregor. Anyone of them to face Diaz are expected to also give a great fight but, not that as big as the supposed one.

Now, it is not still clear if  who will be the real replacement for the bout.

Will Conor McGregor still change his decision and go for the gold?

Or will he truly retire at a young age and eat the cheese he’s thanking at?
