Stephen Curry Won’t Play Atleast Two Weeks Due To MCL Sprain

Stephen Curry Out For Atleast Two Weeks

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will be out for two weeks due to a Grade 1 sprained right MCL (medial collateral ligament), this is according to the MRI result last Monday.

According to ESPN, the Curry attained the injury during his awkward slide on Game 4 against the Houston Rockets.

The MVP is scheduled to be re-evaluated after two weeks said the Warriors.

Curry Tweeted: Thanks 4 all the prayers & messages. Can feel all the positive energy. God is Great! All things considered, I’m Gonna be alright! #DubNation

According to the Warriors general manager Bob Myers, the two-weeks given is still not guaranteed that Curry would be coming back to the floor.

Because of this, Curry won’t be playing for the Game 5 and more in the first round of the playoffs. And of course, even some games from the second round against eh L.A. Clippers.

On game 4, Curry slipped on a wet spot while guarding Rockets’ Trevor Ariza at the end of the first half. He then grabbed his knee and looked pained.

He was brought to the locker room Steph even went to the court and tried doing lateral movements but, he walked back to the bench shaking his head then headed back to the locker room.

“He’s one of the biggest competitors I’ve ever been around,” said Draymond Green on USA Today.

“He wants to be out there. He wants to play,” he added.

Still, the Warriors won in Game 4, 121-94.
