Warriors Win Over Rockets Without Steph Curry

Warriors Defeats Rockets To Lead Series, 2-0

The Golden State Warriors have won the game 2 of their series against the Rockets 115-106 last Monday. The Warriors defeats Rockets still without Curry.

The Warriors did it even with the absence of their NBA MVP Stephen Curry who had an injured ankle.

Curry failed the pre-game fitness test at the Oracle Arena that’s why he has been sent to the bench to watch and support his team.

Good thing, Klay Thompson was there to fill in. He scored 34 points leading the Warriors to victory. Draymond Green also contributed 12 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists while Andre Iguodala finished with 18 points.

In a report by Yahoo! Sports, it is stated that the Warriors really believed in their depth in order to win Game 2. Depth means using the other non-starter players during the game.

Thompson even expressed how it’s really hard for the team to play without him.

On Thursday, everyone wanted Steph Curry to recover from his injury in Houston. But, the Warriors are not forcing Curry to step up in the game.

“We want to make sure Steph is right and that his foot is fine and healthy. Fortunately, we don’t play ’til Thursday and he’s got some time to get some treatment,” said Coach Steve Kerr.

On the other hand, James Harden carried the Rockets with 28 points and having 11 assists. But still, it’s still short to win against the versatile Warriors.

Coach Steve Kerr instructed the Warriors to have better ball movement, hard cuts and intensity on defense without having Curry. And it seems that the Warriors did those things well.

Can the Warriors go through the series without Steph Curry?

How long will Curry suffer from the injury?
