Don’t get confused! This software has two versions!
LIGHTROOM CC 2019 has arrived! Yet it may cause confusion to its users because of its applications. Here’s why is this so.
Adobe Lightroom CC 2019 has two versions: The Lightroom CC and the Lightroom Classic CC. Is there a difference between these applications? Let’s elaborate this further by comparing these two.
Lightroom CC
Adobe Lightroom CC is a cloud-based software that can easily sync on all devices. You can store up to 1TB once you subscribe to a $9.99 monthly subscription fee.
Compared to Lightroom Classic CC, Lightroom CC has a different interface. Some features that Lightroom Classic CC has may not be visible to this version – like Color Calibration and Smart Collections.
Lightroom Classic CC
Just like the older versions of Lightroom, Lightroom Classic CC has changed a lot. It has exclusive features that others have – like Texture, Map Module, Geotagging and Face Recognition.
This version can accelerate image editing with GPU support, organize your collections with color labels and can support for new cameras and lenses.
Unlike the previous version, this software can’t sync with your cloud and on your mobile devices as well. You can subscribe to a $9.99 monthly subscription fee – including Photoshop.
According to Adobe, Lightroom Classic CC may refer as “the renamed version of the Lightroom application you have used in the past, and it is optimized for desktop-focused workflows, including local storage of your photos in files and folders on your computer.“
