This Mac has 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit Retina display with IPS technology. It also has 2560-by-1600 native resolution at 227 pixels per inch with support for millions of colors, and it has True Tone technology.


This Mac has 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz, with 4MB L3 cache.


This Mac has two variations: the first one has 128GB PCIe-based SSD that can be configurable to 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSD; while the second has 256GB PCIe-based SSD that can be configurable to 512GB or 1TB SSD.


This Mac has 8GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory that can be configurable to 16GB of memory.

Battery and Power

This Mac has built-in 49.9 watt-hours lithium‑polymer battery that can stay up to 12 hours wireless web, up to 13 hours iTunes movie playback, or up to 30 days of standby time. It also has 30W USB-C Power Adapter and USB-C power port.


This Mac has Intel UHD Graphics 617 that has support for Thunderbolt 3–enabled external graphics processors (eGPUs)


This Mac has 720p FaceTime HD front camera.

Charging and Expansion

This Mac has two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports with support for charging, display port, Thunderbolt (up to 40Gbps), and USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10Gbps).
