Google Self Controlled Car Project Cancelled Due to Executive’s Departure
Google’s self controlled car project was cancelled when the Google executive quits and leaves the project after seven and a half years.
The company executive Chris Urmson was involved in building the self-controlled car project of Google. He is the chief technical officer of the Alphabet Inc’s Google.
Autonomous vehicle efforts of the company were launched earlier than U.S Senate panel introduce their autonomous cars. When the project was launched Chris joined the project and has been the face of the company in public.
On Friday afternoon (August 05, 2016) Chris tweeted “ready for a fresh challenge” as Krafcik confirmed the departure of Urmson from the project.
The former executive of the company said that he don’t know the next thing he should do maybe he’s going to take some time outside Google. He also told Reuters that self-driving cars are coming earlier this year.
