On October 21, 2020, China’s controversial tech giant Huawei released one of its most affordable smartphones, the Y7a. Many people were impressed with its specifications considering its affordable price tag.
Huawei Y7a is very attractive. It comes with a subtle pink gradient and a faint pink tinge in the middle. However, the surface is prone to scratches and fingerprint smudges. Users might need a case for that.
The body of the smartphone is made up of plastic but it feels solid. It weighs 206g and has a slim profile so holding it feels comfortable.
On the back of Huawei Y7a, you get the vertically-stacked 48MP AI quad-camera set-up. Upfront, there’s a large dot notch in the middle of the screen.
The smartphone’s power/lock button and the volume keys are located on the right side. The power button also acts as the fingerprint sensor.
On the left side of the phone, there’s a triple card slot that accommodates the microSD card slot and dual nano-SIM. On the bottom part of the phone, there’s the USB Type-C, 3.5 audio port, primary microphone, and the single speaker grille.
For the display, Huawei Y7a comes in a bigger framework sporting a 6.67-inch Full HD + IPS display with a reso of 2400 x 1080.
