Philippines first microsatellite Diwata-1 provides higher quality images compared to other foreign satellites based on the world’s image taken by Diwata-1.
On Wednesday (September 21, 2016) Diwata-1 captured images was compared to the photos taken by large-scale a Landsat 8 satellite according to the published pictures of Hokkaido University.
The 50 kg-class micro-satellite provides world’s best images from 3 meters ground resolution capture photos by High Precision Telescope (HPT) installed in Diwata-1 micro-satellite of the Philippines that was developed together by Hokkaido University and other institutions.
The clearer photos captured by Diwata-1 was explained by The Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) how can it help the country.
