Brillante Mendoza Short Film On Drugs Released By Palace
Brillante Mendoza made a short film against drugs released by Malacañang Palace on Sunday night (September 25. 2016) in line with Duterte’s Anti-illegal drug advocacy.
The country is now in the state of eradicating illegal drugs nationwide in line with the President Rodrigo Duterte anti-illegal drug campaign. Regarding abolishing illegal substance in the country, EJK incidents were increasing and a lot of Filipinos have already fear for their lives that lead some drugs users to surrender to the authority and promised to change their lives.
The EJK incidents have already reached to 1, 234 since President Duterte take over the highest position in the Philippines. Also nearly 20, 000 drug users have been arrested by the authorities from July 1 to September 25, 2016, according to the latest report of Philippine National Police (PNP).
Meanwhile, the police’s Oplan Tokhang reported that a total of 722, 551 drug users and pushers have also surrendered. So the internationally-acclaimed director Brillante Mendoza made a film on drugs which shows that changing lives of drug users are possible.
