Cebu dancing inmates has once again show life behind bars after a video surface the internet showing the group dancing with the hit of the latest dance craze, the ‘Trumpets’ Challenge.
The inmates danced with the beat of the famous dance craze as part of their rehabilitation and a sort of exercise. The prison inmates are found in Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC), a maximum security prison in Cebu, usually known for prisoners perform dance routines. Their dance have been known internationally, including their dance when Pope Francis visited the country.

About 2,000 prisoners joins to take part in the jail’s now-famous dance routines. It was the idea of security consultant Byron Garcia where in 2004, he moved the prisoners from an ancient stockade to a larger, more modern facility, fired dozens of corrupt guards, broke up gangs, banned the use of cash and introduced dancing. This has made the great difference in the lives of the inmates.

Using the choreographed dancing , the activity promotes to rehabilitate dangerous inmates as part of their daily exercise and also to improve health. The Violence subsided and the inmates health and behavior improved dramatically as the activity stated. The ‘Trumpets’ challenge has been performed and filmed and released online, making them a popular feature among fans and veritable online celebrities
