In a recent report, President Duterte earlier gave the narco-mayor Espinosa and his son, Kerwin, 24 hours to surrender to the authorities.
This was a part of the campaign of the president against the illegal involvement of the narco-politicians in the country. Furthermore, the narco-mayor was threatened by the president that his order of shoot on sight order to his son is still in effect.
The Narco-mayor is currently confined in the PNP White house under the protection of the PNP Chief General “Bato.”
