Woman Slaps, Spits On Passenger Urging Her To Wear Face Masks

WOMAN SLAPS, SPITS ON PASSENGER – A woman alleged slapped and spat on a passenger that told her to wear a mask inside public transport.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, one of the protocols enforced in the Philippines was wearing face masks when we’re in public. For several months now, this has become the new normal in the Philippines. However, there are still some people who are stubborn enough not to follow.

Currently, the Philippines has become the latest hotspot for COVID-19. Furthermore, it has the longest and strictest lockdown in the world with hefty fines for people not wearing masks.

Meanwhile, a woman from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental allegedly slapped a jeepney passenger for telling her she should wear masks. According to a report from Radyo Bandera, the incident happened in Madalagan near City Mall.

Because of the incident, nearby police apprehended the woman who then spat and slapped the authorities as well. As per the report, the woman was brought to the Barangay Hall in Mandalagan.

Following the incident, several netizens had mixed reactions. Most criticized the woman for her actions while others asked for understanding. Some argued that the woman might have mental problems because nobody in their right mind would walk in public without masks nowadays.

Police in certain areas of the Philippines could fine you at least P200 for not wearing masks. Meanwhile, this person was said to be walking without one close to a checkpoint in the city.
