Khairuldeen Makhzoomi spoke Arabic while he was on board then after the call he was asked to go off the flight.
Earlier this April, a college student Khairuldeen Makhzoomi was discharged from his flight after speaking Arabic in a phone call with his uncle.
Makhzoomi called his uncle who lives in Baghdad while he was getting on board. Since his uncle is from Iraq, the college student spoke Arabic so they would understand each other clearly.
He was off for his Southwest Airlines flight that time but the next thing that happened shocked him – he was booted off his flight.
Makhzoomi came from an event before he went straight to the airport. United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon was even there in the big event.
Little did the college boy knew that he would be experiencing discrimination by the next few minutes.
The event exactly happened on the 6th of April. Coming from a big event, Makhzoomi is very excited to tell his uncle what happened.
He wanted to share to his relatives the content of the said meeting with the secretary-general of United Nations.
To be specific, the college boy who’s actually off to Oakland that time shared that he just told his uncle everything about it before he spoke Arabic.
Further, he clarified that the Arabic part was the ‘God willing’ phrase in the conversation. All throughout their talk, he noticed a lady staring at him.
At first, he thought that the lady keeps on staring at him because he talks very loudly. But then again, it was about his speaking using the Arabic language.
After it, the woman went off the plane. Minutes passed when she get back but with a police officer that time.
The police officer asked Makhzoomi to get off the plane as someone reported his conversation to be a potential threat.
