McDonald’s Manager Accused of Forcefully Cutting Employee’s Hair

A manager of McDonald’s was accused of forcefully cutting an employee’s hair

MCDONALD’S – A manager at a branch of the fast-food giant has sparked varied reactions from netizens after allegedly “forcefully” cutting an employee’s hair.

A viral video captures the manager in the act of forcibly trimming the hair of one of the staff members. According to a Facebook post by “LightWall Acoustic,” the incident reportedly occurred at the Masangkay branch of McDonald’s in Manila. It is claimed that the manager cut the employee’s hair due to its length.

The video has gained viral status, inciting a mixture of responses from netizens. Some social media users have expressed that a different form of punishment should have been employed for the employee if he was indeed violating the haircut policy.

Meji Renn, who is also a manager, commented that the manager should have sent the employee home and prevented him from reporting for duty until he had gotten a haircut. Renn added that the manager should be a role model when implementing the enforced policies.

The full post reads:

“Hi McDonald’s and Raffy Tulfo in Action! I am not sure who would respond faster between the two of you but I would like to share this with you guys and let me know what you think.
A manager named Raymund Rodriguez at a McDonald’s branch in Masangkay, Manila, forcefully cuts an employees hair just because the kid’s hair is too long.
As far as I am concerned, I believe this is not anywhere near McDonald’s corporate policy nor anywhere near the approved methods of the Department of Labor and Employment – DOLE and is a clear human rights violation, and should be dealt with accordingly.
Please let me know what you think.”

As of now, McDonald’s has not issued any statement concerning the viral video. The uploader also tagged Raffy Tulfo in Action in the aforementioned post.
